This fall, 63-year-old Blount began her second year as a student athlete on the Reinhardt University women's golf team in Waleska, GA. She is the oldest student athlete at Reinhardt, "living a dream" with a 4.0 average. After high school, she became an X-ray technician at her parents' advice, though her guidance counselor suggested attending college at Reinhardt. Later, Blount's husband shared his love of golf with her; after his passing, she was unsure of her next move. In 2019, she emailed Reinhardt's women's golf coach & a few months later she was taking her first class. What's next? She says coaching - & even a master's degree.
