Who: Police have identified a 72-year-old man in the mass shooting of 10 adults in Monterey Park, California Saturday night. Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna identified Huu Can Tran as the shooter. “The suspect responsible for this tragedy is no longer a threat,” the sheriff said in a news conference.

What: The incident occurred at a ballroom dance club. People were gathering after a Lunar New Year celebration in Monterey Park - a city of 60,000 people located about 10 miles outside of Los Angeles with a predominantly Asian American population.
