Why It Matters: After 30 years on the run, one of Italy’s top Mafia bosses was arrested on Monday while at a private clinic in Sicily. He was the last of three long sought-after Mafia bosses; he has been charged on numerous accounts, including two bombings in Sicily in 1992 that killed prominent anti-Mafia prosecutors, one of their wives, and several bodyguards. The Washington Post describes his arrest as "a landmark moment in the decades-long battle by authorities against organized crime."
