“(There) were pompoms and shoes and spilled hot chocolate everywhere ... Please pray for everybody. Please pray.”
Waukesha resident, Corey Montiho, a school district board member, after a SUV drove into a Christmas parade.

- Waukesha is about 20-25 minutes from the prominent Wisconsin's city of Milwaukee.
- During a parade Sunday afternoon, an SUV crashed through barricades and drove into the parade. Over 40 adults and children were injured and at least five people were killed; we don't have full details on the total number of injuries or fatalities as the City of Waukesha is still collecting "additional information."
- Some of the parade's participants were as young as two (though we don't have the ages of those injured yet).
- A person is in custody (as is the SUV); motive unknown. Investigators are looking into whether the driver of the SUV may have been fleeing a crime, a law enforcement official told the Associated Press on the condition of anonymity, cautioning that the investigation is continuing to develop and is in its early stages.
This is the latest Associated Press wire - it should be updated as we get more information. READ MORE
